Yes, the costume is great! The problems, to me then and now, was the (lack of) limitations to his powers. It was like Green Lantern but worse -- "I will turn the villain's nuclear bomb into a pickle! Thanks for stopping by. To be honest, I was surprised how much I didn't like this issue, because I've always been fond of the character (not as fond as you obviously!) The first issue of <em>The Fury of Firestorm</em/> is on the schedule for review next month; I'm guessing that one will fare better. Admittedly the issue didn't age well, but I'd say that by comparison to other titles of 1978 this one was okay. I like that in some ways this is the reverse of Spider-Man. Instead of the outcast geek becoming the hero (always the victim of the jocks), the outcast jock becomes the hero (the victim of the geek).
